The Lillingtons are best known for their catchy tunes about the paranormal, but twenty years ago they surprised us all with the release of The Backchannel Broadcast, an album of high adventure with songs about the Wild West and Russian Spies. The vinyl for this masterpiece has been out of print for 15+ years, so we figured RSD Drops 2021 was the ideal time to celebrate the anniversary. For this limited release we’re pressing the album on colored vinyl, including a retro tour poster, and the band mysteriously requested we make 641 copies of this special record. 641? It’s probably some cryptic message to the mothership.
