Finnish rock giant Eppu Normaali, founded in Ylöjärvi in 1976, is turning 50 years old and will embark on a farewell tour of concert halls across Finland early this year. To celebrate, Svart Records will release limited vinyl editions of the band's first two albums on Friday, January 30, 2026.
Aknepop is Eppu Normaali's first album, released on May 8, 1978. The young band, which played edgy punk in keeping with the spirit of the times, released their debut album with the most famous song, "Poliisi Pamputtaa Taasa", and it also includes the legendary opening track "Teen Sinusta Muusia" and the classic song "Sotilaallinen Tyhjiö". The album was awarded a gold disc in 1994.
