Golden Dawn: Lullaby Demo 1995 12" (new)
Debut Golden Dawn demo from 1995, limited to 300 copies on LP.
If there was ever an unsung classic of Austrian black metal, then this is surely it. I would comfortably say this is the BEST Austrian BM demo out there, of course Golden Dawn is indebted to bands like Abigor and Summoning who came before, but neither of those bands released such a fully formed and excellently produced demo as ‘Lullaby’ (not too mention this feat is even more astounding with Golden Dawn only being comprised of one band member). The music here is very raw, but in the optimal way one would hope for on an early tape-recorded demo. The electronic drums have tons of punch (and no click) and the guitars and bass have texture and heaviness.
