Ignite: Where They Talk: 30th Anniversary Edition 12” (light blue and white mix)

In 1994, IGNITE’s debut 7” EP, Where They Talk, introduced the world to the raw energy and melodic hardcore that would become their signature sound. Featuring the intense vocals of Randy Johnson (AGAINST THE WALL, PUSHED ASIDE), whose short time in IGNITE left a lasting mark, and a lineup that included founding members Joe D. Foster (UNITY), Casey Jones (NO FOR AN ANSWER, JUSTICE LEAGUE), and Brett Rasmussen, this three-song EP marked the beginning of a long and influential career.

Now, 30 years later, Revelation Records presents a remastered, expanded edition of "Where They Talk" as a 12” vinyl and digital release, featuring two bonus tracks previously available only on IGNITE’s "Scarred For Life" album. Remastered by Will Borza in 2024, these five tracks are available digitally for the first time, and pressed again for the first time since its original 1,000-record run.

Recorded at Moonsong Studios in Riverside, California, and engineered by Bob Moon, these songs pulse with the raw energy of Orange County and Washington, D.C.- influenced hardcore. You can hear echoes of UNIFORM CHOICE and DAG NASTY in the band’s explosive mix of melody and grit. This reissue isn’t just a nostalgic nod—it’s a celebration of the moment everything began.

“This EP started off everything for us. It’s where our whole journey was set in motion, and to see it celebrated 30 years later is truly humbling.” — Brett Rasmussen (Bass)
