Revolución X: Revolución Permanente - Discografía (1994-1996) 12"

A clandestine punk band is indestructible. That's the premise of Revolución X, a radical underground band if ever there was one. Born with the Zapatista uprising in southern Mexico in January 1994, the group has used punk as an instrument of agitation and direct attack. Part of the historical 90s Spanish-language hardcore punk movement in the United States, to which Los Crudos and Huasipungo also belong, for Revolución X, punk "will be subversive or it won't be."

"Revolución Permanente" (Permanent Revolution) brings together almost their entire official discography, originally released in France and the United States. It also includes a live recording from El Paso, Texas, and a previously unreleased bonus track recorded in 2015 in Mexico City. The compilation also includes the lyrics to all the included songs, rarely seen posters and images, and some new written material. This collection demonstrates the urgent relevance of their message.

From Chihuahua and Texas to Paris, from Santiago de Cuba to Pyongyang, from Mexico City to California, this band has forged a secret but influential path in the most radical and rebellious punk. In times when fascism has returned with full force on all fronts, where oppression seems to encircle all individual and collective spaces, Revolución X demonstrates that resistance is the only possible path and that revolution is an ongoing act. Here, no one surrenders.
