Suss Law: S/T 7" (new)

Debut 7" from this gnarly noise-punk band.

Our take: Debut 7" (though they did have an earlier split) from these noise-punkers, and I can't think of a recent instance of the cover artwork matching the music on a record so perfectly. Like the cover artwork, Suss Law's music is pure chaos... I mean, you can barely tell what's going on at all... the guitar sounds like a blowdryer, god knows what the bass player (is there one?), and the drummer sounds like a kid with severe, crippling ADD having an epic temper tantrum. It's so over-the-top shitty and repulsive that you just have to love it. And, like the artwork, if you choose to start picking things apart and looking for interesting things in the details you'll certainly find them, but take one step back and you're just overwhelmed by the sheer chaos of it all. Definitely not for everyone, but if you truly adhere to the "noise not music" philosophy then you should try this one on for size.
