United Stare: S/T cassette

With 4 unremarkable gigs under their belt, a few Pittsburgh locals have compared United Stare to Rites of Spring, AC/DC, and Radio Birdman. They are nowhere as good as any of those bands, and was actually trying to sound like Husker Du, which they were told they do not sound like at all. The first song is almost 6 minutes long and is not a good representation of the overall sound of this tape, which is essentially just Punk but not Hardcore. The subject of the lyrics includes driving to work, not knowing how to talk to people, killing yourself, and following someone around at night. The band name is a play on the phrase “United States”, where the band is from.
